Made in India, For the World Addins Spices and Masalas

Let's take a journey through history of Spices

The Land of spices and its history

It has always held an allure to the world. We Indians have prided ourselves on it too. Spice trade has been a part of the modern human civilisation almost since its inception. There are recorded proofs of spice trade among the indigenieous tribes as early as the 10th Century BC . Spice Trading has been an important part of our joint history as human race,
Not only has it been an important part of exchange of culture and food, spanning across the world, but also technology.

One of the most important technological exchanges was the introduction of maritime technologies to India, and its other Asian neighbors, enabling our ancestors and others to learn how to build ships and start exploring places far beyond, taking our food and culture around the world, and bringing back riches and a wider perspective, back home.

Fast Forward to Today

According to a report by the IBEF

“India is the world's largest producer, consumer and exporter of spices; the country produces about 75 of the 109 varieties listed by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and accounts for half of the global trading in spices. In FY20, spices worth US$ 3.65 billion were exported.”

Making India still live up to its title of “Land of Spices”, given Millennials ago, in the 21st century.

Addins is a global brand founded to serve its values of Quality and Flavour, and taking the taste of Indian Spices to the world, and not only continuing but progressing, one of the oldest trades in the world, and our country.
